Daily Life

This is one of the best books Kristen Ashley has ever written! And I say that from the perspective of someone who has read, loved, and reviewed over 40 Kristen Ashley books. But this one just hit all the right marks. It was a perfectly balanced and beautifully written romance with heat, heart, and happiness. I can’t recommend it highly enough! This was Vintage KA gold! KA is known for her rather lengthly books but I read this in one non-stop stilling. It was everything I OMG.

But Johnny makes it clear he wants more and Izzy already knows she wants as much of hot-in-bed, sweet-out-of-it Johnny Gamble. Floating on air thinking this is going somewhere, Izzy quickly learns why Johnny holds distant. Someone who left him and did it leaving him broken. Whoever was up next would be runner-up, second best. Until out of nowhere, his lost love comes back to town. And Izzy knew the stakes, so she makes it easy and slips through his fingers. That and the fact Eliza Forrester makes breakfast with a canary singing on her shoulder and fills out tight dresses in a way Johnny Gamble cannot get out of his head.

So, I decided my first review of the New Year would be by one of my favorite authors. I was sure this one would be a winner, but sadly not for me. I didn’t hate it, I just didn’t love it. The H is the alpha we know and love coming from the mind of KA and the h is not lacking by any means. The chemistry between the two is tangible and the sex is hot.

That leaves the story There was nothing to hold my interest.

Review: The Friend Zone by Kristen Callihan

Is love in the cards? Since birth, Lexie Berry has had nothing but bad luck. Orphaned at an early age, she had a rough childhood and a boyfriend who was murdered.

Prologue. I’M LATE, AND it’s the first day of class. I’d like to lay blame on something—car problems, couldn’t find my way to the room, got attacked by a swarm of bees while crossing the quad, anything.

They mostly just shed, eat, nap and make me feel inferior. Johnny shut down after that, becoming distant, indifferent, and unemotional. Smart and sexy with a whimsical style and an inner innocence that shines all around her, Izzy charms most everyone that meets her. Content with her life as it is, Izzy is pleasantly surprised when a surprise trip to the local watering hole introduces her to a sexy man who presses all her buttons. Johnny takes Izzy home and they share a hookup that has Izzy floating on air.

Especially when he learns why she moved here. And may not have anything to do with Izzy at all. The Hookup is the first in a new series-Moonlight and Motor Oil-based on a pair of wealthy alphas and the women who tame them. Set in the small town of Matlock, KY, the premise is classic Ashley.

50 fun ways to kill your boredom

I was hanging out on twitter, as usual, when a random tweet from Kristen Callihan mentioned a NA book she had just written. My eyes whipped back so fast I think I strained a muscle as I furiously pounded out a review request. Callihan writes the Darkest London series, one of my favorite paranormal historical romance series, so I went into the story feeling confident.

Kristen Ashley does it again! Her latest romance, The Hookup, focuses on Izzy to a new town isn’t the easiest thing but Izzy is determined to make a space for herself and find happiness in every aspect of her life.

Anna Jones just wants to finish college and figure out her life. Falling for star quarterback Drew Baylor is certainly not on her to do list. Confident and charming, he lives in the limelight and is way too gorgeous for his own good. If only she could ignore his heated stares and stop thinking about doing hot and dirty things with him. But what he really craves is sexy yet prickly Anna Jones. Her cutting humor and blatant disregard for his fame turns him on like nothing else.

That is until a chance encounter leads to the hottest sex of their lives, along with the possibility of something great. Unfortunately, Anna wants it to remain a hook up. Drew Baylor is perfection!

Joint Review: The Hook Up by Kristen Callihan

InkslingrPR I don’t know whether to sigh or swoon. This book was all the best things I can’t tell you how excited I am about a new series from the Queen, Kristen Ashley.

Now it’s up to Drew to tempt her with more: more sex, more satisfaction, more time with him. Until she’s truly hooked. It’s a good thing Drew knows all about winning.

Reviewed by Tori Favorite Quote: Ivy Mackenzie is spending a year abroad with her mother. When she finds out her father has loaned out her car to one of his clients, a ranty text turns into something more as a strong friendship develops between them. Everything is going great until Ivy comes home. Now Gray is going to do everything possible to prove to Ivy that the only zone he wants to be in is the end zone…with her by his side.

Though not as angst driven as book one, Callihan produces another winning romance with Gray and Ivy. I adore Kristen Callihan. Callihan is a prolific writer whose true gift is her ability to make her characters realistic and relatable. She chooses to avoid the stereotypical over the top NA behavior usually presented in this genre and instead gives us smart characters whose actions are genuine in reaction to the circumstances.

The Law of Henna and Bodhi: When love breaks, fall inward, fall together, and fall hard. Then let time pick up the pieces.

There’s no other author more perfectly suited for the holidays than Kristen Ashley. Her books are filled with love, honesty, family, and a soothing approach to romance that makes this reader swoon. The Hookup doesn’t start out as a slow-burning like-to-lust romance/5.

Released on September 7, Pages: Publisher Get it at: Well that answers that question. Now I know that this gifted author can cross romance genres with the best of them. I seriously thought this young college two-some would be the end of me. The playfulness, the snark, the hang-ups, the wild passion, the friendsies, the gut-wrenching emotions and yep, the game- it was all quite the story and a strong series opener. The story opens with two college seniors encountering each other for the first time when they dive into the back row of the classroom before they can be marked late.

Anna knows who Drew is- every football lover in the south knows who Battle Baylor is as the star quarterback with a Heisman and two National Championship trophies under his belt. She is pretty, luscious even, with the classic looks of a vintage pin-up girl.

September 7, Sold by: Amazon Digital Services, Inc. I honestly thought this would suck as the male lead character, Drew, is so perfect! Gorgeous, super hawt, the star quarterback, that type of guy who lots of girls would die for, and so honest and down to earth. I was scratching my head, can’t believe that an author would dare create a perfection like that! And then the female lead, Anna, has insecurity issues.

Right, typical characters for romance novels, perfect guy falls in love with damaged girl. Another thing that bothered me SO. The never-ending fucking sessions seemed tiring. I was actually skipping
