Concisely stated, he presents his book as a type of secret cure all, but after comparing it to the Bible it is nothing more than a dangerous spiritual snare to the unwary and unlearned! Joseph Prince lures people in with his remarkable claim stated on the front cover — The secret to effortless success, wholeness and victorious living. Instead of Destined To Reign being the secret to something new, it really only offers the same old sc riptural distortions used by past eternal security teachers, who have been around for a long time! Prince even admits to such towards the back of his book! It was so good to hear from a seasoned man of God who had preached this same gospel even before I was born. Destined To Reign, Harrison House, edition, p. Joseph Prince is much worse than the typical prosperity teacher.

Edward Thatch Edward was a weekly contributor at Return of Kings until he passed away unexpectedly after being crushed to death under the weight of his own massive ego. May he rest in peace. For years Dalrock has been one of my favorite writers. I had a very fortunate encounter with a young virgin Christian girl the other day, and this is the feedback I received after sending out tasteful photos of the encounter and sharing the story.

You can read her regular blog at http: The Atheist Experience TV show gets a lot of fans asking them for advice about how to deal with a loved one who is still into religion. The circumstances are frequently different: They might be considering getting more serious, or they might be already married with kids in the mix. It’s always tricky to offer relationship advice on a problem that has been building and building. There are no simple answers for relationship compatibility issues, but I’m hoping to offer some concrete starting points where you can suss out the issues yourself.
After the suggestion in one of this site’s comments stating that it required more faith to be an atheist than a theist, because the non-existence of a deity can never be proven, I thought it would be fun to see if we can logically disprove the existence of “God”.
Those who read my blog regularly know that I like to discuss the stories of other atheists who have become Christians see here , here , here , here , and here. This post adds to that list of stories. Warner Wallace is a successful homicide detective. He specializes in cold cases — unsolved murder cases that remain open, waiting for someone to examine them in a new way that will lead to finding the killer.
He also used to be an atheist. As he says in his book, Cold-Case Christianity: My friends knew me as an angry atheist, a skeptic who thoughtfully dissected Christians and the Christian worldview… p. He was able to avoid going for a while, but he eventually felt obligated to accept the invitation. He says that he managed to ignore most of what the pastor was saying during the service, but he noticed that the pastor painted Jesus as a smart guy with a lot of good things to say.
As a result, Wallace purchased his first Bible, just to see if this Jesus fellow was the great teacher that the pastor made him out to be. What Wallace found changed his life.

I use the quotation marks because she is truly more of a deist who is culturally Catholic, but she considers herself Christian. She struggles with this all the time because she is not as solid in her belief as I am in my disbelief. Atheists generally are not bad people, we are not jerks or bullies, we just play them on the internet.
Sites that pit atheists against theists polarize the two, bringing out the worst in both. We rag on people for their ignorance but only because they proselytize their beliefs upon us and others. These are things that I feel passionately about and I know it gets on my wife’s nerves when I get into debates with people about them because she feels I am being condescending.
You seem like a rather rational and open minded person who is dating a good guy. Religion is an obstacle for any relationship and it is something you two will need to consider in the long run. I struggle because my wife wants to raise our children Catholic, I don’t. I promised her before we got married that we would, so I lose that one.
Dating as an Atheist
The two statements above are clearly interdependent. The Bible tells Christians that God is infallible, and Christians believe the Bible because they believe it was written by an infallible deity. Almost a self-fulfilling prophecy, almost.
According to the Bible, God killed or authorized the killings of up to 25 million people. This is the God of which Jesus was an integral part.
For further information or to subscribe to the Christian Research Journal go to: His goal was to show that life was not the result of divine intervention, but the work of blind naturalistic processes. Darwin claimed to have arrived at this truth by working strictly with the facts apart from any preconceived ideas, and this is exactly how most people today perceive Darwinism.
The concept of biological evolution is almost as old as life itself. Many men through the centuries expressed the belief that all living beings evolved from a common ancestor. Some attributed this evolutionary process to God and others to nature, but until the nineteenth century, no one had posited a mechanism by which it could have occurred that was remotely plausible. Today Darwinism is accepted by many people as a genuine scientific theory.
They claim that Darwin was always a believer in God, or that he became an unbeliever many years after he developed his natural selection theory. They argue that religion and evolution can be reconciled and that neither atheism nor naturalism influence belief in evolution. His autobiography, written for his children, pictures him as a man who started out with a theistic worldview. In , at the age of 19, Darwin entered Cambridge to become a clergyman.
On December 27, , Darwin set out on a sailing voyage that would last several years.

This is an excellent post you know. I saw this video of Penn from Penn and Teller…and he asked the same questions. You know, I do tell people.
She rewarded my masculine confidence two nights later by giving me the virginity she had been saving for her future husband. But I can’t take all the credit, because there was a spread working in my favor.
I’ve know her and her family since i was 13, me and her became very close friends at about We didn’t start dating till I was 23 and we waited a while before announcing a relationship to make sure we didn’t end up hurting our friendship. Until the time her parents found out we were together her parents were always extremely nice to me and treated me very well. Without condoning or condemning their change in behavior when addressing you, do you understand at least intellectually why their behavior has seemingly changed now that your relationship with their daughter has gone from close friendship to dating and marriage prospect?
Taking into special consideration the possibility of future grand children? I understand and fully appreciate the expectation many people have that they should be treated with respect, dignity and humanness no matter their beliefs, world view or outlook on life. What I’m really interested in knowing, which I think I’ve made evident by my constant reiteration int he past few sentences, is if you are able to look at this relationship through their eyes and see why they would seem to in some way violate this sense of respect and dignity every person deserves.
There are things in the above which are obviously disagreeable but the point of what I’m saying is that their behavior did change from amicability to animosity when the relationship was revealed.
Is Darwinism Atheistic?
The modern era gave us hook-up apps, One Direction, and new hurdles in social trends. The desire to find a Zac Effron lookalike with the heart of Pope Francis has pushed us to either become so specific we lose sight of great people, or give up on commitment entirely, instead searching for the greater upgrade, disregarding the fact we are dealing with people—not a Mercedes-Benz.
Even if we do spot a dashing Christian, the person may or may not have been honest on his or her social media profile. A few years ago, an atheist friend of mine pointed at me with victorious venom when a documentary on Channel 4 indicated statistics that Christians lied more than Atheists on dating websites. I was hopeful because I believed in the paradox of God and the impossible. How do we conduct ourselves according to Christ-like behavior in a cyber forum often riddled with question marks on false identity?
May 24, · johnfmayer. I was the first atheist I ever knew (outside of books) and I can’t immediately think of any real difficulties my openness about it has caused.
I hate how they just up and left me like that. Not only did they experience a breakup, but sometimes they were left for someone else. I try to hear them out every time, because they are genuinely hurting. Sometimes, it is clear as day that they dodged a bullet and God was the one protecting them from going any further in that relationship.
Sometimes, God allows it to end in a rough way, and I believe that can be the only way for some people to actually move on. No one can steal your man or woman away. They do not belong to you, they belong to Christ. There is no ownership at all over them, even when you two are married. The circumstances are a little different in marriage, yes, but you do not own anyone.
If someone can take them away, their heart was never fully committed to you. What God has for you, is for you. I think we get so hung up on the heartbreak that we are just trying to find someone to blame. But the bible clearly shows us that God is able to bless everyone, so He would not send something He has planned for you to someone else.
